How can we improve pre-birth services and achieve better outcomes for infants and their parents? Join us for an upcoming webinar launching new Change Project resources to support pre-birth work.

Led by Claire Mason, Research Fellow at The Centre for Child and Family Justice Research, Lancaster University, a webinar on 20 January will share new learning, resources and tools. The Pre-birth Change Project aims to support managers, leaders, commissioners and practitioners to develop pre-birth services and practice to improve outcomes for infants and their parents.

Highlighting ten key messages for practice and service development, the Change Project explores core issues, challenges and examples of good practice. The resources draw on learning from research with people with lived experience, innovative practice and expertise.

The project brought together academics, practitioners and leaders in Children’s Social Care to discuss policies and practices related to pre-birth work. It focuses on keeping mothers and babies together whenever possible and ensuring that mothers receive compassionate and safe care when separation is unavoidable.

The webinar is designed for senior managers, strategic leads, commissioners and practitioners in Children's Social Care, and safeguarding leads and commissioners in health and midwifery services involved in pre-birth work.
